Education Outside The Classroom Week

A very busy week!!

Rooms one and two worked together on EOTC week.  We had lots of fun learning all sorts of new ideas and different ways of doing things.  We also enjoyed collaborating with our peers and making new friends along the way.

We began our week learning about our native trees that were on the school grounds.  We focused on Pohutukawa, Kauri, Rimu, Kowhai, Te Kouka and our beautiful Silver Fern.  We sketched them, used our gentle hands to touch them.  We were able to see the native trees again in different surroundings on our bush walk at Cornwallis Beach.

Lots of questions and thinking went on this week.  Being outside gives us a different perspective of our world.
